On a roll with the Starbucks thing. This is a fairly small location that is situated on a heavily populated pedestrian thoroughfare. The associates behind the counter are goofy -- in a good way. People watching is good here.

Good location and a really friendly staff. I was really impressed the other day as it was only my 5th time in or so and the lady behind the counter memorized my drink as well as my wife's. I think my jaw dropped. My wife normally picks the drinks up, but as I walked up to the counter she said did you want the quad iced ristretto carmel macchiato and a 4 pump iced white mocha with no whip? Word. This place has got to me my new favorite Starbucks location between growing up in Seattle, Living in SF, and in MI. Keep up the great work :)

Gotta agree with Carole here.. A Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks. This branch is always busy..but the staff seems to handle it well. Also have to agree with Carole that this branch is really a bit on the smaller side - the smallest I've ever seen in fact (they really have to do something about that slamming front door btw), and between that and the squealing teen girls sipping on their frappucinos..I really wouldn't recommend it for anyone to anyone looking for a relaxing/quiet afternoon in the coffee shop. That being said the drinks are always made to perfection and the baked goods are always delicious! **Finding parking out front is always unlikely so you will probably have to park in back in the paid parking, unless you are willing to take the risk and park in posterity gallery's parking and just run in&out. ;)

I reaaaaalllly hate going to chains. But once in a while convenience beats quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this Starbucks is actually one of the best I've been to, coffee-wise. The inside is whatever. Boring and sterile, per usual. But they get my dry cappuccino order right EVERY time, which is more I can say for any San Francisco location.

Dirtiest Starbucks I have ever been to. Wrapper, dirt and spills everywhere. I will drive to Roseville before returning. What a mess!!!

It's good coffee and a clean place. It's a Starbucks so pretty much everyone knows what to expect. I really wish they had a drive through though. Parking can be tough.

A Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks. This is a relatively small but cozy location in the Village area of Grosse Pointe. The drinks here are top notch - perfect temperature, and always correctly made. But I usually grab my cup of joe and head out, because this is definitely not a location that makes me want to linger around. Because it's small and in a high traffic area, there's nearly always a decent crowd. This spot is a magnet for high schoolers, who tend to be a little loud and overtake the place. (I get it - they can't go to the bar yet, so where else are they going to hang. My friends and I used to go to this very 'Bucks on weekends when we were in HS, get sugared up on Frappucinos and have ourselves a good time) Also, since Grosse Pointe is a big family community, there tend to be a lot of people bringing their kids in here. Some are very well behaved, others run and treat the place like a Chuck E. Cheese while their parents sit and chat over the morning's paper. Either way, I've never found it easy to get reading or work done here. The time that I tried, I also had some problems with their wifi connection. If you want a good coffee, you'll find it here. But take it to go.

Located in the village of Grosse Pointe, usually quite busy. Though you may have to wait a bit, beverages are still quality.

Great Location and very friendly staff. The only real problem is that they need a few more employees to reduce wait time. Overall outsanding

I've been visiting the coffee houses for a long time. Back in the day, there was this perception that the coffee houses were staffed by pretentious people who would consider it beneath their dignity to actually serve customers. They'd do it, but it would be clear they considered the whole act distasteful. I suspect there might have been some truth to that at some point, but I never saw it. Generally, you go in a coffee house and the staff is friendly, if somewhat eccentric. I'd decided that the "too cool to serve people" coffee house employee was either a myth or had gone extinct at some point. So it's ironic to me that the first time I encountered the clichéd pretentious coffee house employees, it was at a Starbucks! I've gone here three or four times and each time, the staff is in the middle of a very important conversation that they stop just barely long enough to glance at me with some annoyance that I'm trying to order something. I order and whoever took the order continues the conversation over his shoulder while he's taking my money. It's kind of a shame, since it's a very good location in an older building with some character. The neighborhood is great. But other than that, the coffee is exactly what it would be at Starbucks in NYC or Billings, MT. Or at the other location in Grosse Pointe Woods. Which is where I'll be heading if I have a serious yen for Starbucks.
